Film over the Decades

 

In Groups of of 2 or 3 students, you are to research and create a Power Point or Prezi presentation on a decade of your choice in Film History.

 

Up to this point, we've examined the innovations and film history until the end of the 1920's. Your group may choose a decade starting from 1930 until 2000. Students with similar choice of time periods can form a group.

 

Your assignment needs to meet the following requirments:

• Your presentation should make use of a consistent color scheme and fonts. As much possible, try to include graphics, photos and any other enhancements you see fit.

• Each person in the group is required to present. Material should be divided as equally as possible between members.

• Your presentation should include a cover page - Title, "Film of the 19XX's", course name and code, the names of the authors. Your title page should also have an appropriate graphic, photo, or film clip.In the course of your presentation, please try to address the following

• What, if any, were the technological advancements in the film industry in your decade?What, if any, were the changes in the way films were made?

• Who were the major actors/actressess of that decade, what were some of their big movies?

• Who were the major directors of your decade and what significant conributions did they make?

• What were the some of the milestones of that decade?

• What were some of the most significant films of the decade and why were they important?

• You should also provide a "webliography". This is a list of websites used.
